Holy Knit Batman! It’s the Southern Cross Knitting Circle!

Come join in—from beginners to experienced knitters. Now you can wile away the evening hours, stitch and b*tch or flip the script and give Grandma a cardie next Christmas. Everyone welcome, young or old, blokes or ladies. Just bring down some wool and needles.

Hosted by the lovely Katharine from 2 Minute Needles, there'll always be someone there to show you some tricks and teach you the bits and bobs of knitting.

Monday nights at 7 pm in our Lounge, first area on the right as you walk in the front doors.

Like a challenge? Rock in on a Tuesday night to our awesome general knowledge quiz, run by our Yeah Nah quizmasters extraordinaire!
Vouchers and spot prizes are up for grabs! Whether you need to kick your night off with some intellectual stimulation or tire your brain out before bedtime, it’s a promise that choice times are to be had and entry is free for everyone.
The quiz kicks off at 7.30pm and goes until around 9pm, book your spot for the best seats or cruise on in and grab a table.

Creativity is where kids can thrive and learn new ways to express themselves!

As part of our April School Holiday Activities, the Southern Cross will be hosting a Kids Art Workshop in our guest room with local Artist Dan Wilkinson.

Facilitating Art & Creativity classes at The Learning Connexion is something Dan has done for 22 years, especially in the areas of observational, expressive and imaginative drawing. He is also a father of two lively & creative kids.

Children aged between 5-12 are recommended for these classes.

The cost is $20 & this includes all materials.

This quiz promises to put your knowledge of music to the test! You’ll need your ears to be in tip-top shape, as this quiz consists of short excerpts of songs being played to teams – guess the name and artist. Be prepared for a few of those “it’s-on-the-tip-of-my-tongue” moments. Themed rounds and guest rounds will throw a spanner in the works too! Vouchers and spot prizes up for grabs – every Thursday from 7pm.

The second Sunday of every month we have free salsa classes on the dance floor - come get down and work up an appetite, you'll be very deserving of a hearty roast after an or so of showing your best moves.
